March 2012: NUS-HPC

One of the pioneer HPC Cloud Services for the region went live for a local university in Singapore. The system boasts of more than 200 servers. The technology is driven by Adaptive Computing Inc. and Novaglobal is proud to be the system integrator for the project.

The HPC Cloud delivers the following capabilities:

DECEMBER 2011: HPC FOR TRANING ON SYNOPSYS

Novaglobal provided its expertise in setting up a Linux HPC for the teaching and training of EDA (Electronic Design Automation) with Synopsys for a local polytechnic.

DECEMBER 2011: FOURTH PHASE EXPANSION FOR NUMERICAL WEATHER PREDICTION (NWP) HPCC

The fourth phase expansion to the NWD HPCC for a weather forecasting research unit in NTU entailed a change of microprocessor technology from AMD to Intel. NovaGlobal had successfully integrated both of the technologies within the system.

NOVEMBER 2011: BIOSCIENCE HPCC FOR ENVIRONMENTAL LIFE SCIENCES RESEARCH

The company had provided consultation and successfully built a Bioscience HPCC (High Performance Computing Cluster) for a Research Centre of Excellence (RCE) involved with environmental life sciences engineering in a local university. The system comprises primarily of IBM large memory SMPs, IBM GPFS, IBM Storage and Open Source applications. It is integrated to an Illumina Sequencer and boasts of more than 500 computing cores.
